Why look at salvage photos?
What is a salvage vehicle?
A vehicle is typically branded "salvage" when an insurer declares it a total loss after a collision, flood, fire, hail or theft. Many are later repaired and re-titled as "rebuilt" and sold again.
How do these photos help a buyer?
A clean repair can hide serious structural, flood or airbag damage. Seeing the car as it looked before repair tells you what was damaged, so you can ask for repair records and have the right areas inspected.
A VIN search found nothing. What does that mean?
Only vehicles that we photographed are listed here. No record does not mean a car has a clean history — always get an official vehicle history report and a pre-purchase inspection.
